Web Design
The web design process is broken down into multiple stages as described below. Once the client is pleased with the result of each stage we move onto the next one. After each stage is complete the client will be billed before the next stage begins. Upon requesting the web design service you will be given a proposal document outlining the goals of the site and what you would like to accomplish with it.
Stage 1 (Proposal): The first thing we do, as mentioned, is to outline what the sites goals are as well as the features that you would want on your website. This will be the time which we will interact with you and try to figure out what would work best for you given the situation. We will also offer suggestions based on our previous experience of things that will work and things that wont. We can recommend features such as guestbooks, forums, media players, etc. During this time we will also try to figure out how you want your site designed based on sites that you find appealing or we can choose for you and design the site.
Stage 2 (Hosting Setup): Once we have a solid proposal to build your website we will begin by setting up your hosting. We can recommend the best hosting solution for you that will be cost effective and reliable. Each client will have different needs whether is be Linux or Windows hosting or a more robust server that will be faster and reliable for thousands of users.
Stage 3 (Design): During this stage we will begin the actual coding and design for your website. We will create what is know as a template that will be the foundation for all your content. You will have access to your sites design as it is developed so that you can choose what you would like to change if something does not appeal to you. During this stage you will work closely with our developers to ensure you like the look and feel of the site before any of your visitors see it.
Stage 4 (Content): The next step is to put all your content onto the site. We will create different pages for you that include information such as contact pages, services, products, about us pages and much more. The organization of this content is very important as well not only for people visiting your site to find but also search engines such as Google and Yahoo! We use prominent SEO (Search Engine Optimization) techniques to ensure your content is worded and organized in a way that will allow your site to rank high in search engines.
Stage 5 (Go Live): Up until now the site will have been developed on our personal servers behind the scenes so no one sees the site as its being developed. We will work with you to make sure everything looks good and no further changes need to be made at which point we will put the site on the actual hosting account and make it available for the whole world to see. This stage we will also add features such as tracking for visitors and help promote the site into Google with their webmaster tools.
